چکیده

A dumbbell-shaped rigid body can be used to represent certain large spacecraft or asteroids with bimodal mass distributions. Such a dumbbell body is modeled here as two identical mass particles connected by a rigid, massless link. Equations of motion for the five degrees of freedom of the dumbbell body in a central gravitational field are obtained. The equations of motion characterize three orbit degrees of freedom, two attitude degrees of freedom, and the coupling between them. The system has a continuous symmetry due to a cyclic variable associated with the angle of right ascension of the dumbbell body. Reduction with respect to this symmetry gives a reduced system with four degrees of freedom. Relative equilibria, corresponding to Graduate student, Department of Aerospace Engineering. It is shown that unstable relative equilibria can be stabilized by suitable attitude feedback control of the dumbbell.

The effect of functional corrective, central stability exercises and combination on the shoulder girdle posture of adolescent girls

Introduction and Aim: Shoulder and scapular abnormalities are the most common shoulder girdle disorders. The relationship between central stability and upper and lower body muscles strength and endurance has always been emphasized. Therefore, it is important to choose a better training method to prevent and treat shoulder girdle disorders. The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of ...

Global Stabilization of Attitude Dynamics: SDRE-based Control Laws

The State-Dependant Riccati Equation method has been frequently used to design suboptimal controllers applied to nonlinear dynamic systems. Different methods for local stability analysis of SDRE controlled systems of order greater than two such as the attitude dynamics of a general rigid body have been extended in literature; however, it is still difficult to show global stability properties of...

The effect of core stability training on static and dynamic balance in older men

Purpose: Considering the increasing spread of elderly people and the importance of maintaining balance in the elderly as one of the factors preventing aging problems, this study investigated the effect of central stabilization exercises on elderly people's balance. Methods: 30 elderly men with an average age of 63.66  who were divided into two groups with high risk of falling and falling into ...
